Background
Anna grew up in former Yugoslavia (now, Serbia). From early age Anna was interested in global affairs, and after graduating from nursing school at age 20, she went to work in Austria, Switzerland, and Canada. At age 26, she immigrated to the United States, arriving in San Francisco. She fell in love with California and made it her home. ​
